Stuffed Basbousa with Cheese

Step-by-Step Instructions
11 stepsPreheat oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a 9x13 inch baking dish.
Mix semolina, all-purpose flour, baking powder, and salt in a bowl.
In another bowl, combine melted butter, sugar, eggs, and orange blossom water.
Gradually add dry ingredients to wet ingredients, mixing until smooth.
Reserve half of the batter. To the remaining batter, add crumbled feta, ricotta, and mozzarella.
Pour the cheese mixture into the prepared dish. Top with the remaining batter.
Bake for 45-50 minutes until golden brown.
Let cool completely before cutting into squares.
Make syrup by boiling sugar, water, and orange blossom water for 10 minutes.
Drizzle syrup over cooled Basbousa and garnish with pistachios.
Serve at room temperature.
