- 1/2 tsp black pepper

- 1/2 cup tahini sauce
- 1/2 cup garlic sauce
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh parsley
- 1/2 cup chopped fresh cilantro
- 1/2 cup sliced tomatoes
- 1/2 cup sliced cucumbers
- 1/2 cup sliced red onions
- Pita bread, warmed
- Lemon wedges
Step-by-Step Instructions
5 stepsIn a bowl, combine yogurt, lemon juice, olive oil, garlic, cumin, paprika, coriander, cinnamon, salt, pepper, and chili powder. Mix well.
Add chicken strips and coat thoroughly. Cover and refrigerate for at least 2 hours or overnight.
Preheat grill or grill pan over medium-high heat. Cook chicken strips for 5-7 minutes per side until fully cooked and slightly charred.
Slice chicken into strips and assemble shawarma in warmed pita bread with tahini, garlic sauce, and fresh vegetables.
Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
